The Downstairs Lounge and Stairwell

I've started work on my next project. We ripped out the bar today. We felt the house would have more re-sale value if it was just a huge lounge rather than a bar. I went around pulling out all the staples from our parties, while Deni started sanding down and painting the window sills in the stairwell. I then went around and filled up all the holes. I have a full day sanding the walls ready for paint tomorrow. Here we go again! I think the colour I have chosen for the lounge is too dark. I will have to evaluate... Photo's are coming...

Ive been busy rennovating my bathroom!

Hi everyone. Since I have been back, I have been rennovating my downstairs bathroom and laundry. You may remember that it was a laundry before...well now it is a beautiful green paradise. I have moved my laundry to underneath the stairs, utilising a waste of space. It has a shower (minus the shower screen) and a basin and cabinet. I am getting my cabinet maker friend to build me some shelving for the towels in the cavity beside the shower (black I think) and a shelf under the basin. The toilet is being replaced and a leak is being fixed above the shower, but we have to wait for our plumber to come over from Waiheke Island. Then we will be tiling it. When the shower is fully functioning, we will be ripping out our upstairs bathroom/toilet and starting on that. I can't wait. I absolutely LURVE rennovating, plastering and painting etc.
