I have just completed my final Portfolio's for 343 and 252. they are getting bound as we speak. I am now concentrating on my last one, 344 (Short Story) which is due on Friday. I am exhausted and I need a break from everything. J

Portfolio B = (out of 60%)

343: Portfolio A = B+ (out of 40%)

Portfolio B = (out of 60%)

344: Essay = B (out of 20%)

Myth = B- (out of 10%)

Portfolio A = (out of 50%)

University Update

Hi everyone, this is an update on my progress through uni so far.

ENG 252: I have submitted my first Portfolio of work (Introduction to Creative Writing). About 11 poems and 2 short story's. It is worth 40%. I should get my marks back this week some time.

ENG 343: I have submitted my first Portfolio (Writing Poetry). This consisted of 4 Exercise poems and 6 additional poems. This is worth 40%. results also back this week.

ENG 344: I have also just handed this Portfolio (Writing the Short Story). This consisted of a 1000 word essay, which I think I sucked in, and a Myth. This is worth 30%. I expect the marks back next Tuesday. Im holding my breath on this one... this one is picking up the short straw.

Will let you know my marks as they come in... fingers crossed.

HI EVERYONE...THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT!

I am submitting THIS Blog as part of my end of year multi-media portfolio. I need you to comment on my work and in return I will comment on your comments etc etc. Mortisa, I love how you communicate with me via email, but your comments are also valuable on here too...would you, posting them? Vicky...where have you gone? I miss yoooooouuuuuu. Mitch, well, you are just a Godsend really. I love the constructive criticism and praise...I suppose I will agree that you know what you are talking about (lol). Lindsay, thank you, thank you for all your wonderful comments generally. Mo, I see you having a little look around...on my guestbook (smile). John, I like your email comments too, but could you also post them on here? do any of you have any comments regarding improving my sight? Topics etc. I'm not all that technical like Mitch is...but I will give it a go. Thanks everyone. Love Jx

I am now fully enrolled in three papers at University! YAY! I start the second semester on the 16th of July. However, I will be away until the 17th...lol. I have a very heavy schedule which is makingme panic a little, but I will have to persevere if i am to prove myself this year to do the MCW. J

My Studies in Creative Writing and Poetry

Hi everyone. I went to the university and after going from place to place in a rabbit warren, I finally found where I needed to be and completed all the paperwork to enrol. I am hopefully doing three undergraduate papers this year. English 344, Writing the Short Story, English 343, Writing Poetry, and English 252, Introduction to Creative Writing. I just hope like hell I havn't bitten off more than I can chew...however, I am not 'officially' accepted into these papers yet, just enrolled. That is a different story, but I DO have Departmental Permission. One step at a time. J

Update, apparently the University has stuffed up my enrolment! Why doesn't this surprise me? I shouldn't feel so jaded but I wish just one person could do everything or hand over the FULL story, so that the process doesn't have to begin again and start going around in circles. It is very frustrating to be waiting for some sort of acknowledgment only to find nothing is forthcoming...I have decided I simply HATE any form of INSTITUTION that involves more than two people...lol. J
